WARWICK, R.I. – The Worcester State University men's golf team earned a 7th place finish at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships as they wrapped up play on Sunday (Oct. 15).

Johnson & Wales earned the team title as they totaled a 601 (297-304) in the two rounds of golf. Rhode Island College followed with a team score of 620 (308-312), while UMass Dartmouth and St. Joseph's College followed at 4th and 5th places. Suffolk University placed 6th while Worcester State followed with a team score of 662 (343-319), improving by 24 strokes on the second round.
Johnson & Wales' Christian Maselli earned the individual title, carding a 143 (69-74) in the two rounds of play. UMass Dartmouth's Jackson Mitchell followed with a 148 (72-76) while Rhode Island College's Austin Cilley came in third with a 149. Worcester State's Michael Jezierski (Thompson, Conn.) tied with University of Southern Maine's Tristan Dundas at 4th place, each carding a 150 (+6). The top-5 golfers earned All-GNAC honors.
Next weekend, the Lancers will be in Ireland for the Tip O'Neill Donegal Diaspora Perpetual Golf Challenge.
