Westfield, MA --- Worcester State women’s volleyball seniors Megan Brown and Vicki O’Brien junior Alyssa Jasper and sophomore classmates Kaylee Leduc and Meghan Deighan highlight seven players selected for the MASCAC Fall All-Academic Team as announced by conference publicist Emily Diekelmann.
N. Dartmouth, MA --- Senior Megan Brown has been distinguished with an honorable mention award for her four year contributions by the New England Women’s Volleyball Association (NEWVA) this past week.
Westfield, MA --- Top-seeded Westfield State defeated #4 Worcester State, 3-2, this afternoon in the MASCAC Women's Volleyball tournament semifinals. Junior Alyssa Jasper reset the school-record for kills in one match (38) and sophomore Gina Battista equaled the single-game assist mark (56) in the setback.
Westfield, MA --- Junior Alyssa Jasper along with senior teammates Megan Brown and Vicki O’Brien have all been selected to the All-MASCAC Women’s Volleyball team in a vote by the leagues seven head coaches earlier this week as announced by league publicist Emily Diekelmann.
Paxton, MA --- Junior Alyssa Jasper tallied a game-best 12 kills to go with three digs as she helped pace fourth-seeded Worcester State to a 3-0 triumph over #5 Salem State in the quarterfinal round of the MASCAC Women’s Volleyball Tournament.. She reset the single-season school record for kills with 342.
Worcester, MA --- Senior Megan Brown finished with a game-best 16 kills to go with five digs as she helped lead Worcester State to a key 3-1 triumph over Salem State in MASCAC women's volleyball action this evening at WPI's Harrington Auditorium.
Springfield, MA --- Worcester State was defeated in non-conference women's volleyball action 3-0 by Western New England this evening. The Lancers were paced defensively by senior Vicki O'Brien and sophomore Jennifer Cabral as they both registered 16 and 10 digs, respectively.
Boston, MA --- Junior Alyssa Jasper recorded 23 kills and six digs to help the Worcester State to a 3-2 triumph over Wentworth in a non-conference match played at Tansey Gymnasium.
Bridgewater, MA --- Despite 18 assists and seven digs by sophomore Gina Battista, Worcester State fell to Bridgewater State, 3-1, in MASCAC women’s volleyball action this evening.
Framingham, MA --- Junior Amanda Lewis (Poughkeepsie, NY) totalled 58 assists and 16 digs as Worcester State fell to Framingham State and WPI this afternoon in a trimatch. She now has 1,338 helpers in her two-plus seasons as a Lancer.
Leicester, MA --- Junior Alyssa Jasper finished with a game-best 13 kills as she helped pace Worcester State to a 3-0 victory over Becker in non-conference women’s volleyball action this evening at the Leicester Gym.
New London, CT --- Junior Alyssa Jasper totaled 39 kills while senior Megan Brown amassed 31 kills and 29 digs as they both helped lead Worcester State this past weekend at the Bear Classic hosted by Coast Guard.
Newton, MA --- Worcester State was defeated by Lasell, 3-2, in non-conference women's volleyball action this evening. Junior Alyssa Jasper tied a school record with 27 kills as she finished with a blistering .349 hitting percentage on the night.
Westfield, MA --- Westfield State notched a 3-1 victory over Worcester State in MASCAC women's volleyball action this evening. Junior Alyssa Jasper had a season-best 17 kills in the setback while classmate Amanda Lewis handed out a match-high 35 assists.
Worcester, MA --- Worcester State blanked MCLA, 3-0, in MASCAC women's volleyball action this afternoon at the Laska Gym. Senior Vicki O'Brien finished with a game-best 13 digs to become the first Lancer to reach the 1,000 dig milestone.
Holyoke, MA --- Senior Vicki O'Brien finished with a game-best 10 digs and seven service aces to help Worcester State defeated Bay Path, 3-0, this evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at Holyoke Community College. Sophomore Jennifer Cabral also chipped in with five aces.
