Charlotte Mullane Named Little East Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week

PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Worcester State University women's tennis freshman Charlotte Mullane (Sterling, Mass.) has been named the Little East Conference Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week. The announcement came from the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Playing on her high school home court in her first collegiate match, Mullane went 2-0 on Saturday afternoon to lead the Lancers past Wentworth in her team's season opener. Mullane picked up an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles before winning 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

Mullane and the rest of the women's tennis team will be off for two weeks before returning to the court to face Bridgewater State on Sept. 15.
