WORCESTER, Mass. - Four Worcester State University fall athletic teams have qualified for the first round of their respective conference tournaments. All four will open tournament play on Tuesday.
The Worcester State women's soccer team will kick off a home triple-header at Coughlin Field on Tuesday, as the third-seeded Lancers host Fitchburg State in a MASCAC First Round contest at 1 p.m.
The middle game at Coughlin Field will feature the fourth-seeded Worcester State men's soccer team against Westfield State in the MASCAC First Round. The Lancers and Owls will kick off at 4 p.m.
Rounding out the triple-header will be the top-seeded Worcester State field hockey program, playing UMass Dartmouth in the Quarterfinals of the Little East Conference Tournament. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start. As the tournament's top seed, the Lancers will host each round of the tournament as long as they advance.
At 6 p.m. from North Adams, the fifth-seeded Lancer women's volleyball team will begin its title defense against MCLA in a MASCAC First Round matchup.
