Worcester, MA- With a win yesterday over the Westfield State Owls to sweep the season, the Lancers Baseball team (20-19,16-8) faced a rematch on the road to the championship game in a meeting with the Salem State Vikings. The Vikings claimed the win over Worcester in the Quarterfinals 20-10 to hand Worcester their first loss in post season play. The Lancers returned the favor with a decisive final to advance to the MASCAC Championship versus Bridgewater State, who were yet to have a loss in the tournament.

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Baseball team (11-11, 9-3) was right back in action after a late inning loss to the Buccaneers last night in a tough 7-5 loss that saw both teams bats connecting. Today’s game was also played in partnership with the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund. The Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer-to-peer education regarding early cancer detection.  The importance of Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students, has never been more important and can effectively expedite important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late-stage cancer detection and increase longevity. Donations are currently being accepted at alumni.worcester.edu.
