Boston, MA --- Nine Worcester State student-athletes have been named to the 2010 New England Football Conference All-Academic Team. Five of the nine were repeat honorees from previous years all-academic squads.
Cape Cod, MA --- Senior linebacker Tyler Russell was named one of four linebackers to the ECAC Division III North All-Star team in a vote by the regions head coaches. Russell was also one of 11 from the New England Football Conference to be honored on the squad.

Worcester, MA --- Junior Kenny Russell hauled in five passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns while classmate Marcus Price had 181 yards on the ground with a score as Worcester State rolled to a 41-6 homecoming victory over Fitchburg State in NEFC Bogan Division action this afternoon.
Today's homecoming football game between Worcester State and Fitchburg State is Charter TV-3's "Game of the Week" and we have the live action via webcast. The contest will also be shown later tonight at 7 PM and again on Tuesday evening at 7 PM.
Worcester, MA --- Junior Marcus Price rushed for a career-best 203 yards with two touchdowns while classmate Tony Tokarz amassed 293 total yards with a pair of scores as Worcester State defeated Coast Guard 31-7 this afternoon in NEFC action. The trumph marked the first-ever win over Coast Guard.
Bridgewater, MA --- Worcester State was handed a 25-9 setback this afternoon in NEFC Bogan Division play by conference rival Bridgewater State. Junior Kenny Russell scored the lone touchdown for WSU as he finished with seven receptions for 84 yards.

The 1-2 punch of sophomore cornerback Graham Asum and junior linebacker Cameron Jones is a big reason the Worcester State football team (3-2) has won as many games this year as in its previous two seasons combined.
