Four Touchdown Day Nabs Williams MASCAC Player of the Week
WESTFIELD, Mass. – After helping Worcester State to a thrilling 33-30 victory over Westfield State on Saturday afternoon, Lancers senior quarterback Aaron-Moses Williams (Springfield, Mass.) has been named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Offensive Player of the Week.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – After helping Worcester State to a thrilling 33-30 victory over Westfield State on Saturday afternoon, Lancers senior quarterback Aaron-Moses Williams (Springfield, Mass.) has been named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Offensive Player of the Week.
Williams accounted for four touchdowns on 274 yards passing and 87 yards rushing in the Lancers' 33-30 win over Westfield State. He ran for the first two scores of the game to give Worcester a 14-0 lead, and then threw for two long fourth quarter touchdowns to complete the comeback, including a 41-yard hail mary touchdown pass to Ke'Vaughn Davis (Utica, N.Y.) on the final play of regulation to clinch the victory for the Lancers.
The Lancers (3-6, 3-4 MASCAC) play their season finale next Saturday at 12:00 PM when they host Framingham State. Prior to the game against the Rams, Worcester will honor their Senior class.
