Worcester, MA --- The Worcester State Athletics Department officially recognized the achievements of its student-athletes as a part of National Student-Athlete Day, by holding a reception to honor its fall, winter and spring athletes. The Worcester State Field Hockey team was also honored for having the highest GPA in the NCAA.
Worcester, MA --- The Worcester State University field hockey team has been tabbed with the highest grade point average in Division III as announced by National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Executive Director Jennifer Goodrich.
North Dartmouth, MA --- Six Worcester State student-athletes have been named to the Fall Little East Academic Team as announced this past week by Media Relations Director Jack Hollaran. The six student-athletes included five field hockey players and one representative from the women’s tennis team.
North Dartmouth, MA --- The Worcester State field hockey team has received the distinguished honor of this year’s Little East Sportsmanship Award. The announcement was made with the all-conference release after a vote by the leagues 12 head coaches. The accolade was started by the conference last season.
Mansfield, CT --- Worcester State used a 1-0 triumph over Eastern Connecticut to snap a nine game losing streak as they finished their season with a record of 7-12. Senior Meg Feehan netted the lone marker in the opening minutes of the game while keeper Kat Masterjohn ended with two saves.
Dudley, MA --- Worcester State lost 5-1 non conference contest to Nichols this afternoon as junior Sabrina Tordoff netted the lone goal on a penalty stroke. The Lancers look to get back at it in their regular season finale on Saturday at Eastern Connecticut.
Plymouth, NH --- Plymouth State recorded a pair of second-half goals to defeat Worcester State 4-2 in Little East field hockey action this afternoon. Junior Kat Masterjohn collected 14 saves in the setback for WSU.
Worcester, MA --- Western Connecticut used a pair of second-half goals to defeat Worcester State 2-0 in Little East field hockey action this evening. Junior's Lauren Daley, Haley Erickson and Sabrina Tordoff combined to record four defensive saves in the setback.
Keene, NH --- Worcester State was defeated 6-1 by Keene State this afternoon in Little East Conference field hockey action. Junior Samantha Janda potted the lone goal for the Lancers as she now leads the team with 16 points.
Worcester, MA --- New England College score the game-winning goal with 51 seconds left in a defensive battle to help defeat Worcester State, 2-1, this evening in non-conference field hockey action. Senior Meg Feehan netted the lone goal for the Lancers in the setback.
Worcester, MA --- Worcester State dropped their third straight match to Salem State in a 1-0 loss this afternoon. Junior Lauren Daley would notch her LEC leading eighth defensive save and classmate Kat Masterjohn collected five saves to help pace the defensive effort for the Lancers.

Worcester, MA --- Bridgewater State snapped a four game Worcester State winning streak as they rolled to a 6-1 victory over the Lancers this afternoon in Little East Conference field hockey action. Junior Sarah Cozzens recorded the lone marker for the Blue and Gold in the loss.

Framingham, MA --- Junior forward Sarah Cozzens scored the game winner 3:22 into overtime to lift the Worcester State University field hockey team to a 2-1 Little East Conference win over the Framingham State University. Senior Amanda Maillet netted the game-tying marker in the final ten minutes of regulation to force the extra session.
