Lancers Field Hockey Selected Third in MASCAC Preseason Coaches Poll
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Field Hockey team was selected third in the MASCAC 2025 Preseason Poll, voted on by the conference coaches. The Lancers finished last season 8-11, falling to Westfield State, and ultimate conference champions, in the final seconds, 1-0 in the MASCAC semifinal.

Tied for the top spot, with the edge going to Fitchburg State with their three first place votes, were Westfield State and Fitchburg State with 31 points. The Owls claimed a single first place vote in the selections.
The Lancers were 6-4 during the regular season conference schedule to claim the third seed in the poll with 26 points, and a first-place vote from the coaches. All-Conference defender Allison Keenan is back after collecting two goals and three assists for seven points while defensively holding opponents to a .146 shooting percentage to lead the charge for the Blue and Gold back to the MASCAC Championship and NCAA tournament.
Bridgewater nabbed the last two first place votes for a total of 24th to settle in at fourth with Framingham State taking home 18 points ahead of Salem State and their 11 points.
Newcomer to the MASCAC, Anna Maria, claimed six points for the final spot in the poll.
