Worcester State Men's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Schedule
Worcester, MA – Entering their second season under Head Coach Al Pettway, the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team is excited to unveil its 2025-26 schedule. The Lancers, who finished last season 13-14 overall and 9-3 in MASCAC play, have elevated their schedule this year as they set their sights on reclaiming the top spot in the conference.
Worcester, MA – Entering their second season under Head Coach Al Pettway, the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team is excited to unveil its 2025-26 schedule. The Lancers, who finished last season 13-14 overall and 9-3 in MASCAC play, have elevated their schedule this year as they set their sights on reclaiming the top spot in the conference.
Worcester will be led by seniors Shawn Hebert and Jack Lasbury-Casey, along with a strong group of returners and newcomers ready to make their mark in the MASCAC.
“We’re excited to kick off a new season! The players have put in the work, and I can’t wait to see their dedication, skill, and passion come on the court” proclaims Pettway. “I am Excited to see what the season has in store.”
The Lancers open their 2025 campaign November 8–9th at the UMass Dartmouth Tournament, facing Saint Joseph’s (CT) in their season opener before competing in either the championship or consolation game the following day. Worcester will then head to Rhode Island College for a Veterans Day matchup before returning home for their home opener on November 14th against crosstown rival WPI.
To close out November and open December, the Blue and Gold hit the road for a challenging four-game stretch first to Western New England on November 25th, playing an exhibition at Division I Holy Cross on November 26th, visiting Wesleyan December 2nd, and wrapping up with a New York trip to SUNY Poly for December 6th. Worcester will then return home for back-to-back home games, first against Connecticut College on December 8th and Gordon December 9th before closing the calendar year with another Division I exhibition at Bryant on December 28th.
The 2026 portion of the schedule begins on the road at Williams College on January 3rd before the Lancers return to Brissette Court for a two-game homestand—hosting Trinity on January 6th and opening MASCAC play against MCLA the next day.
January’s slate will test Worcester’s depth with road games at Westfield State on January 10th, Framingham State January 17th, Salem State January 21st, Bridgewater State January 28th, and wrapping up with another meeting at MCLA on the 31st. Breaking up the road trips the Lancers will also host Fitchburg State on January 14th and welcome new conference member Anna Maria College to Brissette for a January 24th to Worcester for the first time as a MASCAC opponent.
February will feature key matchups as the Lancers gear up for the postseason. Worcester hosts Westfield State on February 4th for their annual White Out Game before traveling to Fitchburg State February 7th. The team then returns home for back-to-back contests against Framingham State on February 11th and Salem State on February 14th. The Lancers close out the regular season on the road at Anna Maria on the 18th before celebrating Senior Night on February 21st when they host Bridgewater State.
