Okla Named MASCAC Rookie of the Week for Third Time

Worcester, MA- After a thrilling 2-0 week for the Lancers that saw them go undefeated in conference play on the week, Worcester was honored with a third Rookie of the Week honor for sophomore Joe Okla (Worcester, MA).

Okla averaged 17.5 points, 10.5 points and two steals while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor (14-21) in a 2-0 week for the Lancers. Netted 21 points with 10 rebounds, an assist and steal in the 91-69 win over Fitchburg State. Scored 14 points with 11 rebounds, three steals and an assist in the 73-65 win over Framingham State. On the season, Okla has 209 points, 112 rebounds, 19 assists, 21 steals and two blocks.

Worcester State returns to action tomorrow with a trip to Salem State to take on the Vikings at 7pm.
