Okla Claims 6th MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honor
Worcester, MA- With a high intensity week for the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team that found them going 1-1 on the wee, sophomore Joe Okla managed to repeat for his 6th time this season as the MASCAC Rookie of the Week.
Worcester, MA- With a high intensity week for the Worcester State Men's Basketball team that found them going 1-1 on the wee, sophomore Joe Okla managed to repeat for his 6th time this season as the MASCAC Rookie of the Week.
Okla averaged 15 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 0.5 blocks in a 1-1 week for the Lancers. Scored 16 points with 11 rebounds, two steals and a block in the 84-72 setback to Westfield State. Netted 14 points, 12 rebounds, an assist and steal in the 73-68 win over Fitchburg State.
On the season, Okla has recorded eight double-doubles to go along with his 329 points and 183 rebounds. He has also recorded 32 assists and 32 steals with three blocks on the season thus far.
Worcester State Men's Basketball is back in action on Wednesday when they host Framingham State on Brissette Court at 7:30pm.
