Okla Claims Seventh MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honor

Worcester, MA- After an aggressive 2-0 week for Worcester State that saw them lock in a one or two seed for the MASCAC post season tournament starting next week, sophomore Joe Okla (Worcester, MA) claimed his season seventh Rookie of the Week selection from the conference.

Okla Averaged 12 points, 8.5 rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 68.8 percent (11-16) from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Lancers. Netted a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds with five assists and two steals in the 91-81 win over Salem State.

On the season, Okla has recorded nine double-doubles to go along with his 353 points and 200 rebounds. He has also recorded 38 assists and 36 steals with three blocks on the season thus far.

Worcester State Men's Basketball is back in action on Wednesday with a trip to Anna Maria for a 7pm tip off.
