Okla Wraps up Regular Season with Eighth MASCAC Rookie of the Week
Worcester, MA- After claiming the second seed and going 2-0 on the week, the Worcester State Men’s Basketball team had sophomore Joe Okla (Worcester, MA) claims his eighth MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor.
Worcester, MA- After claiming the second seed and going 2-0 on the week, the Worcester State Men's Basketball team had sophomore Joe Okla (Worcester, MA) claims his eighth MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor.
Okla averaged 13.5 points,13.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and a steal in a 2-0 week for the Lancers. Had a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds in the 94-92 win over Anna Maria. Followed it up with another double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 70 percent from the floor (6-8) with five assists and two steals in the 96-87 win over Bridgewater State. Okla has recorded 380 points and 227 rebounds in the season. He has also recorded 45 assists and 38 steals alongside 11 double-doubles thus far.
Worcester State is back in action on Friday when they host the highest remaining seed in the MASCAC semifinals on Brissette court, currently scheduled for 6pm.
