Lancers Golf Picked Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Golf team has been tabbed to finish in the MASCAC Coaches preseason poll as voted on by the conference coaches. Worcester will be led this year by seniors Jonny Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA) and Cam Verna (Natick, MA) as they look to take the MASCAC crown in a few weeks.

Worcester will be led this year by seniors Jonny Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA) and Cam Verna (Natick, MA) as they look to take the MASCAC crown in a few weeks.
Salem State has been selected to finish first in the poll with 35 points and five first place votes ahead of MCLA with two first place votes and 28 points. Springfield sits a point behind at 27 while Marymount claims fourth with 24 points.
The Lancers were fifth at the championship last season and grabbed 16 points in the voting. Gastonguay came in 12th place with a +16 with a +5 on day one of the tournament.
Closing out the voting is Westfield State at sixth with nine points and Marywood in seventh with eight points.
The MASCAC men's golf teams will get the 2025 season underway over the next few weeks which culminates in the MASCAC Championship on September 20-21 hosted by Worcester State at The Blissful Meadows Golf Course in Uxbridge, Mass.
