Worcester Finishes Fifth at Brett Williamson Invitational
Worcester, MA – The Worcester State men’s golf team turned in a solid performance at the Brett Williamson Invitational on Sunday, hosted by Westfield State at Tekoa Country Club. The Lancers posted a team score of 324 (+40) to earn a fifth-place finish in a competitive field.

Leading Worcester State was junior Zack Hurley (Feeding Hills, MA), who fired a 79 (+8) to secure a tie for 10th overall. Just one stroke back, senior Jonny Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA) carded an 80 (+9) to finish tied for 16th. Junior Jonathan Wasserman (Salem, MA) followed closely with an 81 (+10), good for a share of 20th place.
Senior Cameron Verna (Natick, MA) contributed a steady round of 84 (+13) to finish tied for 26th, while junior Nolan Finan (Vernon, CT) rounded out the scoring with a 92 (+21), placing 33rd individually.
The Lancers showed strong balance across the lineup, with three golfers finishing within two strokes of one another in the top 20. Worcester State will look to carry this momentum forward as the fall season continues.
Worcester State is right back on the course on Thursday with a trip to RIC to close out their non championship season of the Fall schedule.
