Their first meeting of the season saw the Lancers squeeze out a 4-3 win, something they hope to expand upon tonight.
Worcester, MA- Tonight’s Worcester State Men’s Ice Hockey Game (9-8-1, 6-5-1) is being played in honor of sophomore student-athlete Evan Armit, who was earlier this season diagnosed with Melanoma. The team has rallied around the cause, and with the help of the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund, designed Black Jersey’s to be worn during the game with donations and bids being accepted leading up to the game. Proceeds from tonight’s game will go to the Armit Family and the Rosen Fund, created by Gregg '86 and Pam '87 Rosen, which aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer to peer education regarding early cancer detection. Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students in the field of public health, can effectively expedite these important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late stage cancer and increase longevity.

Worcester, MA- After a hard battle to kick off the season versus Nichols College on Friday night in the opening game of the WOOCup, the Worcester State Men’s Ice Hockey team (0-1-0, 0-0-0) is right back in action to take on Assumption University in the Consolation match. The meeting will be the first meeting between the teams in two years, and the first of the NE10 matches for the Lancers this season.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Ice Hockey team has been picked seventh in the 2024-25 preseason poll as voted on by the conference coaches. After finishing last season battling UMass-Dartmouth to a 4-2 loss in the MASCAC Quarterfinals, Worcester is restocked and ready to make another run to the Championship.
