Buzzards Bay, MA --- Highlighted by first-team selections Alex Wolfel and Kerlenz Benjamin, Worcester State had five honorees on this years All-MASCAC men’s soccer team as announced by league publicist Jim Seavey in a vote by the leagues eight head coaches last week. Head coach Jason Willis was also tabbed the Turfer MASCAC Coach of the Year.
Castleton, VT --- Sixth-seeded Worcester State dropped a 2-1 decision in double overtime to #3 Castleton State this evening in the quarterfinals of the ECAC Division III New England Tournament. Sophomore Alex Wolfel netted his team-leading ninth goal in the setback for WSU.
Cape Cod, MA --- The Worcester State men’s soccer team has been tabbed into the sixth seed and will travel to #3 Castleton State on Wednesday at 6 PM in this week’s upcoming ECAC Division III New England Men’s Soccer Tournament. This marks the second-ever ECAC appearance for the Lancers.
Salem, MA --- Third-seeded Worcester State was bounced from the semifinals of the MASCAC Men's Soccer Tournament with a hard-fought 1-0 loss in overtime to #2 Salem State. Senior goalkeeper Evan Wilga made 10 saves for the Lancers in the setback.
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Sophomore Alex Wolfel scored a pair of second half goals for Worcester State to help lift the Lancers to a 2-0 triumph over Fitchburg State in MASCAC men’s soccer action this evening at Clean Harbors Stadium. The third-seeded Lancers will play #2 Salem State on Thursday at 3:30 in the conference tournament semifinals.

Worcester, MA --- Sophomore Alex Wolfel scored the game-winning goal in the 96th minute to lift Worcester State to a 1-0 overtime triumph over WPI in non-conference men’s soccer action this evening at Coughlin Field. Senior Evan Wilga made eight stops for his fourth shutout of the season.
Salem, MA --- Salem State men’s soccer team defeated MASCAC foe Worcester State by a score of 5-1 Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. Alex Wolfel scored the Lancer's lone goal in the 71st minute of the contest.
Worcester, MA --- Senior Justin Biela had a hand in every goal with a career best seven points to help propel Worcester State to a 5-1 triumph over UMass Dartmouth in non-conference men’s soccer action this evening at Coughlin Field. Biela finished with two markers and three helpers in the triumph for WSU.
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Sophomore Alex Wolfel netted a goal and an assist to lead Worcester State to a 5-1 MASCAC men’s soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium. The Lancers are now alone in second place in the conference standings with the triumph.
Standish, ME --- St. Joesph's (Maine) tallied two goals in the first half and a pair in the second to earn a 4-0 triumph over Worcester State this afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action. Senior keeper Evan Wilga and freshman reserve Emil Dedo each split halves and combined for five saves in the setback.
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Worester State senior forward Andrew Babineau has been selected as MASCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for his efforts in a triumph over Westfield State this past Saturday. For Babineau this is his first career weekly honor and the second for the WSU men's soccer team.
Westfield, MA --- Senior Andrew Babineau netted two goals and sophomore Alex Wolfel added two helpers to help Worcester State defeat Westfield State this evening in MASCAC men's soccer action this evening. With a 2-1-1 record, the Lancers are now in a three-way tie for second place with the Owls and Bridgewater State.
Worcester, MA --- Worcester State and Western Connecticut played to a tie in double overtime in non-conference men’s soccer action at Coughlin Field. Freshman Michael Jordan netted the lone goal for WSU and senior Evan Wilga collected eight saves.

Worcester, MA --- Worcester State was defeated 3-2 in overtime this evening by crosstown rival Clark in non conference men's soccer action this evening on the road. Freshman Michael Jordan tallied his first career goal and Alex Wolfel also added a marker for the Lancers in the loss.
