Men's Soccer Holding Shoe Drive to Benefit Funds2Orgs

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester State University men's soccer team kicked off a two-month long shoe drive on Thursday morning, benefitting the non-profit organization Funds2Orgs.

Funds2Orgs is a fundraising organization that helps sponsor shoe drives for schools, businesses, and other organizations. Funds2Orgs then donates the shoes to people and places that have been impacted by natural disasters. You can read more about Funds2Orgs by visiting their website.

Donations of gently-worn shoes can be donated to the cause. Sneakers, sandals, dress shoes, cleats, heels, and most other types of footwear can be donated, as long as they are free of serious wear and tear. Rollerblades, ice skates, single shoes or mismatched pairs, and shoes with holes, tears, or mold will not be accepted.

The shoe drive will run through March 1. To make a donation, contact Worcester State men’s soccer head coach Aidan Abolfazli at aabolfazli@worcester.edu or woostate.menssoccer@gmail.com. Upon the re-opening of the Wellness Center in mid-January, shoes can also be put into a drop box in the athletics office.
