How it Happened:
The first half opened with the Lancers getting the early lead from senior forward Taylor Gavaletz (Dudley, MA), who got a great pass from senior midfielder Wilber Garcia (Bilbao, Spain) to get the action started early. Shortly after, the Rams would equalize with a goal of their own to get the game back on level ground. Worcester would apply tons of pressure in the first half by registering seven shots on goal and hoping to carry that attack pressure into the second half.
The Lancers continued their attacking determination at the start of the second half by registering two shots within the first 10 minutes of the half. Worcester would strike first in the second half with junior forward Nick Guidi (Wilbraham, MA) getting to the back of the net to take the lead. As time wound down in the second, the Lancers would continue their aggressive attack and register five more shots on goal without conceding a tying a goal, giving them the win 2-1 in this conference matchup.

The Lancers (2-3, 2-0) will be back on the road on Tuesday with a trip to the Coast Guard Academy for a 6pm start.
