Boamah’s 200M Time Earns Him MASCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State’s sophomore sprinter Edward Boamah (Worcester, Mass.) completed the 200 Meter Dash in a time of 22.60 this past Saturday at the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational, which earned him the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men’s track athlete of the week award.

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State's sophomore sprinter Edward Boamah (Worcester, Mass.) completed the 200 Meter Dash in a time of 22.60 this past Saturday at the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational, which earned him the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's track athlete of the week award.

 

He placed second at the meet behind AIC's Isaac Sampson who edged Boamah by 0.11 seconds. With Boamah's time of 22.60, he qualified for Division III New England's and currently stands at 21st in all of Division III New England.

 

The men's track & field team will resume completion this Saturday when they head to Westfield State for the Jerry Gravel Classic.
