Boudreau Headlines MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Championship
Worcester, MA-The Worcester State University men’s indoor track & field team delivered a statement performance at the MASCAC Championship, hosted by Westfield State University at Wheaton College, finishing fourth overall with 71 points in a competitive conference field. Fueled by personal records, season bests, and podium finishes across the board, the Lancers showcased their depth, speed, and championship determination.

It was a dominant day in the 60-meter dash for senior Seth Boudreau (Douglas, MA), who electrified the track. After qualifying in 7.10, Boudreau stormed to the conference title in the finals with a blazing 6.96, setting a new personal record.
He was not alone in the spotlight as first year Jarrett Brown (Milford, MA) placed sixth overall after qualifying in 7.25, with fellow first year Sandro Merone (Weymouth, MA) delivering a breakthrough performance, finishing fourth in 7.17 for his own personal record..
Boudreau doubled back in the 200m, adding a fifth-place finish in 23.58, a season best while. junior Tyshawn Craigg (Springfield, MA) had a strong showing with a seventh-place run of 23.87, and Brown placed 10th in a time of 24.16.
The 400m group competed fiercely, led by junior Keenan Ansah, who placed sixth in 53.72, just ahead of first year Kendrick Adusei (Worcester, MA) who claimed seventh in a time of 53.73. First year Taylor Feliciano (Milford, MA) and sophomore Cole Berriault (Wareham, MA) both clocked season bests in the event, finishing 9th and 10th just milliseconds apart at 54.46 and 54.62.
In the 600m, the Lancers sizzled on the track as first year Youness Chahid (Revere, MA) placed fourth in 1:29.24, while junior Kelan Mahoney (Oakham, MA) followed closely in sixth with a time of 1:29.39. Senior Patrick Harvey (Holden, MA) added a personal record in his eight place finish with a time of 1:34.13.
The distance crew continued to grind out as graduate student Alexander Lucier (Gardner, MA) ran a personal-best 4:38.33 to finish seventh in the mile, while first year Andrew Feinblatt (Framingham, MA) added a season best at 4:47.53. First year Lincoln Schiller (Uxbridge, MA) posted a season-best 2:49.39 in the 1,000m.
First year Liam Dietz (Longmeadow, MA) was a double scorer, placing sixth in both the 3,000m and 5,000m, including a personal-best 17:15.20 in the latter.
In the 60m hurdles, senior Kelvin Paulino-Acosta (Sutton, MA) placed fifth in the finals with a time of 9.23, while first year Ryan Wing (Barre, MA) also advanced to finals and claimed seventh with a time of 9.54.
The relays were a major highlight of the championship with the 4x200m squad of sophomores James Almeida (Auburn, MA), CJ Harrell (Holland, MA), Yael Lopez (Milford, MA), and first year Matteo Oliveri Kuhnle (Bedford, MA) sprinted to a third-place finish in 1:37.54.
The 4x400m quartet of Adusei, Ansah, Feliciano, and Lopez powered to second place in a season-best 3:36.73 while the 4x800m team of Feinblatt, Lucier, Mahoney, and Wing battled to another runner-up finish in 8:38.10.
Worcester State's field athletes added critical points throughout the meet.In the triple jump, Paulino-Acosta soared to third place on a leap of 12.74m. Boudreau placed fifth in the long jump at 6.45m, while Ansah added a seventh-place finish.
Wing cleared a personal-best 1.72m in the high jump to place fifth, and first year Jose Calle (Plainfield, CT) placed fifth in the pole vault at a height of 3.10m.
The throws group was especially impactful as junior Garrett Papierski (Webster, MA) earned bronze in the shot put with a mark of 13.28m, while fellow juniors Andrew Lucier (Gardner, MA) and Kodie LeGrand (Tewksbury, MA) both posted personal records in the weight throw. Papierski added points there as well with a sixth-place finish.
The Lancers are back in action next Saturday at Wheaton for the Pre-Post Invitational as they look for their last marks for NCAA competition.
