The team hit the course looking to capitalize on a diligent season of hard work to make a strong showing on the day and get themselves primed for their NCAA season. The unexpectedly hot late October afternoon made for a challenging 8k course with steep climbs and twisty terrain.

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team traveled to Westfield State to compete in the annual James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State. The 8K course saw over 300 runners compete in the day’s event.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team returned to action on a chilled Saturday morning as they headed to the first ever Framingham State Invitational, as they competed on the 8K course. The Lancers finished the meet in second place, recording a point total of 43 points to grab the top finish.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross-Country team travelled after an expected storm delay pushed the match back a day later than expected at UMass-Dartmouth. The meet, initially scheduled for Saturday, September 16th, was moved to the following day to ensure the best course possible as the area was faced with the threat of Hurricane Lee. Senior Matt Talbot (Belchertown, MA) was again the first runner across for the Lancers for the second meet in a row this season.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Cross Country started their season today at the Jim Sheehan Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State. The team finished in second on the afternoon behind the brisk pace of junior Matthew Talbot who finished in seventh in the collegiate competition.
