Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule
Worcester, MA- Head Coach Scott Vandermolen and the Worcester State Athletics Department is pleased to announce the 2026 Cross Country Schedule. After a third, for Women and fifth, for Men, finish in last season’s MASCAC Championship, the Lancers are primed to claim the top spot this season as they host the 2026 MASCAC Cross Country Championship at Fort Devens. The Blue and Gold will be led by juniors Samantha Edwards (East Longmeadow, MA) and Gracie Van Akin (Belmont, VT) along with seniors Patrick Harvey (Holden, MA) and Kelan Mahoney (Oakham, MA) for their top-notch schedule.

“We are excited to start the 2026-27 season off with a young and energetic cross-country group” says Vandermolen. “The fall schedule gives us a variety of distances and levels of competition throughout the year that will prepare us for championship level meets.”
The Lancers season will begin on September 5th with a trip to Suffolk for the Suffolk Short Course Classic before journeying to UMass-Dartmouth on September 19th for the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational. After a brief break, Worcester will journey to the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State on October 10th before heading to the Western New England Invitational the following Saturday to conclude their regular season schedule. The Blue and Gold begin post season races on October 31st with the MASCAC Championship at Fort Devens. Competing on November 14th at the NCAA DIII East Regionals for a chance to advance to the NCAA Championships on November 21st.
