BUZZARDS BAY, MA – Junior outfielder Jacqui Schwalm (Billerica, Mass.) hit a grand slam and the Worcester State softball team scored the most runs in a game since 2017 as the Lancers swept Mass. Maritime Academy in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) doubleheader on Monday afternoon at Rollins Field.
Worcester, Mass. - The Worcester State University softball team split a Friday afternoon Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) double header against the Westfield State University Owls at Ralph Raymond Diamond. The Lancers took game 1 by the final score of, 2-1, while Westfield State capped the afternoon with a, 6-3, victory. The Lancers now stand at 12-14 (5-1 MASCAC) while Westfield is now 11-15 (4-2 MASCAC).

They nearly returned the favor in the second game at Rockwood Field, but a late rally from the Anchorwomen gave the visitors a sweep of their non-conference affair.

PAXTON, Mass. – Sophomore Lauren Dube (Leominster, Mass.) had seven hits, eight runs batted in and six runs scored and hit a grand slam as Worcester State softball swept a doubleheader against Anna Maria on Monday afternoon.
SALEM, Mass. – Emily Bartlett (Lowell, Mass.) pitched a three-hitter to lead Worcester State to 5-0 game one win over Salem State in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. Jen Thorburn (Groton, Mass.) pitched five solid innings in game two, allowing three runs on four hits in five innings of work as the Lancers completed the sweep with a 9-3 victory. Worcester State is now 7-9 and 2-0 in the MASCAC while the Vikings go to 1-13 and 0-2.
