Westfield, MA --- Sophomore reserve forward Christal Bello led an extremely balanced attack with 10 points as Westfield State College rolled to a 66-46 victory over Worcester State in the semifinals of the Massachusetts State College Athletics Conference women’s basketball tournament.
Worcester, MA --- After getting swept twice in the regular season to Westfield State, the Worcester State women’s basketball team looks for revenge this time when they face the Owls tomorrow in the MASCAC Tournament Semifinals.
Worcester, MA --- Sophomore guard Alexis George has been named to the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Basketball First-Team as announced this afternoon by conference publicist Jim Seavey. The vote was taken by each of the conferences seven head coaches earlier this week.
Worcester, MA --- Junior Reilly O’Keefe and freshman Kaleigh Charette combined for 34 points to help pace fourth seeded Worcester State secure a 77-63 victory over fifth seeded MCLA this evening at Lancer Gymnasium in the quarterfinal round of the MASCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Worcester, MA --- Two weeks ago the Worcester State Women’s Basketball team was on the outside looking into the MASCAC tournament. In last place, the Lancers went on to win their remaining five conference games and earned themselves a fourth seed and coveted home-game in the first round of the tournament against fifth seeded MCLA this Tuesday evening.
Salem, MA --- Sophomore Alexis George notched a game-high 20 points while junior Reilly O’Keefe tallied 20 points as Worcester State defeated Salem State 67-62, in MASCAC action this evening at Salem’s O’Keefe Center. The win was their first for the Lancers in 16 years in Salem.
Worcester, MA --- Sophomore guard Alexis George has been selected Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week after she helped lead Worcester State to a 2-0 week with a pair of conference victories over Fitchburg State and Worcester State. George was also tabbed to the New England Women’s Basketball Association Team of the Week on the honor roll.
Worcester, MA --- Junior forward Julia Baily tallied a game-high 21 points with six rebounds and three steals to help lead nationally ranked Tufts to a 58-47 victory over Worcester State this evening at Lancer Gymnasium in non-conference women’s basketball action. Senior Erin McCullough was honored in a pre-game ceremony for playing in her last home game.

Framingham, MA --- Junior Brianne Flanders notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds to help lead Worcester State to a 61-50 win this afternoon over Framingham State in MASCAC women’s basketball action.
Worcester, MA --- Senior Lauren Sylvian scored a game-high 14 points as she led four Westfield State teammates in double-figures as the Owls defeated Worcester State, 64-50, this evening at Lancer Gymnasium in MASCAC women’s basketball action.
North Adams, MA --- MCLA teamates Laura Silverman and Jen Wehner each notched double-doubles to help lead the Trailblazers past Worcester State, 72-59, this evening in MASCAC women's basketball action. Erin McCullough, Reilly O'Keefe and Alexis George all added 11 points apiece in the loss.
Worcester, MA --- Salem State outscored Worcester State 43-21 in the second half with 12 point contributions from junior classmates Katie Bielonko and Danielle Jenkins to take home the 56-40 win this evening at Lancer Gymnasium in MASCAC basketball action.
Bridgewater, MA --- Senior forward Ashley Coucci scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Bridgewater State College Bears to a 75-59 victory over Worcester State College in MASCAC women’s basketball action this evening from the Tinsley Center. Sophomore Alexis George notched a team-high 14 points with eight boards.
