Worcester, MA --- If anything can be said, everyone took away something last night from the “Evening of Excellence” program that was held at Worcester State University’s Sullivan Auditorium on Tuesday night that featured UConn Coach Geno Auriemma, Bentley Coach Barbara Stevens and Amherst Coach GP Gromacki.

Westfield, MA --- Worcester State's season ended with a 56-42 setback to Westfield State this evening in the semifinals of the MASCAC women's basketball tournament. Senior Alexis George ended her four-year career 12th on the all-time scoring list with 1,051 points in the loss.
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Junior guard Kaleigh Charette has been tabbed to the second-team of this year’s All-MASCAC team in a vote by the leagues seven head coaches on Monday. This is her second-straight conference honor after she recieved a nod during the 2009-10 season.
Worcester, MA --- Junior Kathleen Foley poured in a career-best 19 points – including five from beyond the arc – to lead #4 Worcester State past fifth-seeded Fitchburg State in a 66-56 triumph this evening in the opening round of the MASCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Salem, MA --- Sophomore Meaghan O'Keefe notched a game-best 21 points to go along with nine rebounds and five blocks to help pace Worcester State past Salem State, 75-71, in overtime. The fourth-seeded Lancers will entertain #5 Fitchburg State on Tuesday at 7 PM in the upcoming MASCAC Women's Basketball Tournament.
Worcester, MA --- The Quaboag – Shepherd Hill high school girls’ basketball rivalry has been well recognized over the past few years, but on Feb. 12 at Worcester State University four former players renewed that rivalry on a college court.
Worcester, MA --- The Blue and Gold dropped a 48-39 loss this evening to Westfield State in MASCAC women's basketball action. The Lancers were propelled by senior Alexis George who contributed totals of 10 points and three rebounds in the setback.
Worcester, MA --- Despite game-highs of 18 points and 10 rebounds by junior Kaleigh Charette, Worcester State lost to MASCAC rival Bridgewater State 72-60, this evening at the Lancer Gymnasium. The Lancers are now tied for fourth with Fitchburg State in the conference standings.
Worcester, MA --- Worcester State dropped a 70-39 setback to Tufts University this evening in non conference women's basketball action. Sophomore Kara Rogers and senior Alexis George combined for 16 points while rookie Meaghan Burns impressed with six points, four boards and a three of the squads six blocks.
Worcester, MA --- Fitchburg State used a late push to defeat Worcester State, 58-52, this evening in MASCAC women's basketball action. In the setback senior Alexis George became the 16th player to reach the 1,000 point milestone as she chipped in wtih 11 points and four boards.
Framingham, MA --- Meaghan O’Keefe and Kaleigh Charette each posted double-doubles to help Worcester State defeat host Framingham State 63-53 in a MASCAC women’s basketball matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Fitchburg, MA --- Worcester State lost this evening to Fitchburg State, 48-45, as the Falcons erased a 12-point deficit to earn the victory. Senior Alexis George led all scorers with 13 points as she is now 28 points away from the 1,000 point milestone. Sophomore Meaghan O'Keefe also contributed 10 points and four boards in the setback.
North Adams, MA --- Worcester State lost this afternoon to MCLA 52-45 in MASCAC women's basketball action. junior Kaleigh Charette led the charge in the seback as she scored 11 points to go along with nine rebounds. WSU is now tied with the Trailblazers for second place in the conference.
Worcester, MA --- Sophomore Kara Rogers and senior Alexis George poured in totals of 12 points apiece to help lead Worcester State to a 62-32 victory over Salem State this evening in women’s MASCAC basketball action at the Lancer Gym. George is now 41 points away from the 1,000 point milestone.
Bridgewater, MA --- Junior Kaleigh Charette tallied 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists and five steals to lead the Worcester State women’s basketball team to a 71-66 victory over host Bridgewater State in MASCAC action this evening.
