Gallella and Nkrumah named MASCAC Player of the Week
Worcester, MA- Worcester State Men and Women’s Basketball team each received Player of the Week tabs from the MASCAC this week because of the contributions from senior Erin Gallella (Tewksbury, MA) and sophomore Aaron Nkrumah (Worcester, MA). The women brought home a victory versus Keene St. on Tuesday night while the men’s squad nabbed their fifth win of the season with victory over Western New England.

The women brought home a victory versus Keene St. on Tuesday night while the men’s squad nabbed their fifth win of the season with victory over Western New England.
Gallella recorded 12 points with six rebounds and six assists on top of four steals for the Lancers in the 58-44 win over Keene. This is her sixth of six games this season that have seen Gallella record double digit points and over five rebounds in the game. This is also her second game this season with four steals or more. She currently has 514 career points, 212 rebounds and 103 steals.
Nkrumah recorded career high 22 points alongside nine rebounds and three steals in Worcester State’s come from behind 70-64 win over Western New England. He racked up a 50% shooting percentage from the field, going 9-18 in the game. Currently this season he has recorded 104 points and 39 rebounds in six games of action.
Worcester State return to action this week after the Thanksgiving Break as the women take on Wellesley College tonight at 7pm. The men will return to action tomorrow night to host Wesleyan for a 7pm tip off.
