Worcester, MA- Looking to figure out their final season for the conference tournament, the Worcester State Women’s Basketball team (8-13, 2-5) is primed to take on Bridgewater State (14-6, 6-1) in a grudge match on their home court this evening. Tonight’s game is also in partnership with the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund, created by Gregg '86 and Pam '87 Rosen, which aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer to peer education regarding early cancer detection.  Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students in the field of public health, can effectively expedite these important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late stage cancer and increase longevity.

Worcester State Women's Basketball to Host Math Madness Game January 8th

WORCESTER, Mass. - Worcester State University Women’s Basketball will host its 15th Annual Math Madness game next Wednesday, January 8th as the Lancers host Emerson College in non-conference action at John P. Brissette Court. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m.

The Lancers will begin their weekend tonight, by meeting up with the Western New England Golden Bears in night one action.

The Lancers and Lasers have not matched up since before COVID in what looks to be a high intensity battle on the day.

Worcester, MA- After the traditional Worcester City Tournament kick off, that saw the Worcester State Women’s Basketball team (1-1, 0-0) claim the victory in the consolation game, the Lancers are home to host their opener versus the Wellesley Blues in a well met meeting for the two teams. Last year's meeting found Worcester just nine points from victory in their last December battle, and with the home court advantage, are hoping for the tide to turn for victory this year.

Anna Maria fell to Clark in the first game last night, setting up both teams for a fight to the first win.

The Lancers open their 2024 season with a meeting with the Engineers in the neutral court battle with the winner advancing to the Worcester City Tournament Championship tomorrow.
