Final
Worcester State: 52
Framingham State: 80
How it Happened:
Junior Mia Haynes (Worcester, MA) would continue her dominant week getting the action started for the Lancers. Fellow junior Lena Waldron (Quincy, MA) would tap in a layup and one for an early lead. With the additional support of juniors Aydan Gulliver (Cranston, RI), Alana Smith (Chicopee, MA), senior Hannah Lomonaco (Northbridge, MA) Worcester would grab a nine point lead midway through the quarter. The Rams would regroup and cut into the early lead but be unable to overcome as the quarter ended in the Blue and Gold's favor at 22-15.
Framingham continued to find their chances in the second and managed to tie the game at 24-24 with just over four minutes to go. Worcester would look to stifle the Framingham gains but their shooting success continued as they claimed the lead by the close of the second with a 36-26.
Waldron would get the action started for Worcester in the third as they began their attempt to reclaim control of the game. Worcester would work the deficit down, but another run for Framingham pushed their lead to 20 as the Lancers determinedly fought on, recording baskets of their own. During the fourth both teams fought on but a cold shooting streak would allow Framingham to expand their lead to claim the 80-52 victory.
Gulliver would lead Worcester with 13 rebounds and seven rebounds in the day's action.
