Wozniak Named ECHA Player of the Week
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team had one named to the ECHA Player of the Week after their game versus UMass-Boston this past week. The Lancers squared off in an overtime battle with the Beacons on Friday night, coming back in the final seconds off a senior Cassidhe Wozniak (Turner Falls, MA) goal to force the overtime action.

The Lancers squared off in an overtime battle with the Beacons on Friday night, coming back in the final seconds off a senior Cassidhe Wozniak (Turner Falls, MA) goal to force the overtime action.
Wozniak recorded the tying power play goal with just 38 second in regulation to give the Lancers an extra opportunity against the Beacons. The goal was the second of the season for Wozniak, who currently has two goals and one assist for three points on the season.
The Lancers return to action this weekend with their final two games of 2022, matching up with Salem St. on Friday night 7:10pm, followed by a rematch with Nichols at 5:30pm on December 10. Both games will be played at home at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Arena.
