The 18 Women’s Division III All-Stars announced today come from 11 schools, with Amherst College and Norwich University leading the way with three honorees each. It is an experienced group with 11 seniors and three juniors. There is a local flavor as 10 of the All-Stars are New England natives.
Norwich University head coach Justin Simpson is this year’s New England Division III Women’s Coach of the Year. The New England Division III Women’s Most Valuable Player, for the second year in a row, is Natalie Stott, a senior goaltender from Amherst College and Franklin, MA.
The afternoon will end with the presentation of the Parker-York Award for Contribution to New England Hockey. This year’s recipient is longtime Amherst College men’s head coach Jack Arena.
For the first time, this year’s event will be a Sunday brunch, streamlined to allow attendees an enjoyable reunion of the New England hockey community, starting with food and beverage at 12:00 noon, with the awards presentation to begin at 12:30 p.m. Cost of the brunch is $45 per person.
