Grand Lake, CO --- The Worcester State women’s lacrosse was one of 125 institutions to be recognized with 2014 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Honor Squad laurels as announced by executive director Gothard Lane.
Westfield, MA --- Repeat selections, sophomore Kaila Chase, second-year Katelyn Murphy and junior Angela Grassetti highlight 12 from the women's lacrosse team who have been named to the MASCAC Spring All-Academic Team as announced by league publicist Emily Diekelmann.
Centerville, MA --- Sophomore Jackie Connors and junior Angela Grassetti have both been recently recognized as ECAC Division III New England All-Stars as announced by Director of New Media and Digital Communications Geoff Lopes.
Worcester, MA --- Second-seeded Curry used a strong second half to defeat top-seeded Worcester State, 11-7, in the ECAC Division III New England Championship game on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore classmates Kalia Chase and Jackie Connors registered two goals and one assist in the setback for WSU.
Worcester, MA --- Sophomore Kaila Chase finished with six points off five goals and one helper as she propelled top-seeded Worcester State to a 16-11 triumph over #4 Becker in the semifinals of the ECAC Division III New England Women’s Lacrosse Tournament at Coughlin Field.
Centerville, MA --- The Worcester State women's lacrosse team has been chosen as the top seed in this week's Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Tournament and will play #4 Becker on Friday at Coughlin Field with a 7 PM start time.
Bridgewater, MA --- Top-seeded Bridgewater State defeated #2 Worcester State, 19-7, in the MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Championship game. Junior Mollly Kilday, sophomore Kaila Chase and freshman Alaina Martin all recorded two goals each in the setback.
Westfield, MA --- Worcester State junior Angela Grassetti along with sophomore teammates Kaila Chase and Jackie Connors highlight a school-record eight All-MASCAC selections in a vote by the league’s head coaches as announced by conference publicist Emily Diekelmann.
Worcester, MA --- Behind three goals and two assists by sophomore Jackie Connors, second-seed and host Worcester State defeated #3 Westfield State 12-9 in the MASCAC Tournament Semifinals. Classmate Katelyn Murphy picked up five ground balls and forced two miscues for the Blue and Gold in the win.
Centerville, MA --- Sophomore Jackie Connors has been named ECAC Division III New England Offensive Player of the Week for her tremendous performance in a 3-0 stretch for Worcester State. Connors collected 21 points to move into third on WSU's all-time scoring list.
Westfield, MA --- Freshman Lea Robichaud has received the nod as Co-MASCAC Rookie of the Week for backstopping Worcester State in a trio of wins this past week. Robichaud helped the Lancers claim the second seed in this week's conference tournament.
Fitchburg, MA --- Sophomore Jackie Connors finished with nine points on five goals and four assists to help lead Worcester State to a 14-9 triumph over Fitchburg State on the final weekend of MASCAC women’s lacrosse regular season play at Elliot Field.
Worcester, MA --- Sophomore Kaila Chase finished with four goals and a pair of helpers to help lead Worcester State to a 15-9 victory over Salem State in MASCAC women’s lacrosse action. Freshman Angelina Sutherland distinguished herself with three assists, four draws and three ground balls in the victory.
Westfield, MA --- Sophomore Kaila Chase has been tabbed MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for her outstanding efforts in leading the Lancers to a 2-0 week. She collected 16 points in wins over Framingham State and Mass Maritime.
New London, NH --- Sophomore Jackie Connors tallied eight points on five goals and a trio of helpers to help lead Worcester State to a 15-4 victory over Colby-Sawyer in non-conference women's lacrosse action this afternoon.
Buzzards Bay, MA --- Sophomore Kaila Chase netted four goals and four assists for eight points while fellow classmate Jackie Connors added four markers and three helpers to finish with seven points to lead Worcester State to an 18-4 MASCAC women’s lacrosse victory over Massachusetts Maritime this afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium.
