Women's Lacrosse to Host 5k Benefiting One Love Foundation
The Worcester State University women's lacrosse team will host its second annual One Love Foundation 5k on Saturday, March 23 before its contest against Western Connecticut State University.
WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester State University women's lacrosse team will host its second annual One Love Foundation 5k on Saturday, March 23 before its contest against Western Connecticut State University.
The One Love Foundation was founded in 2010 to honor Yeardley Love, a women's lacrosse student-athlete at the University of Virginia who was a victim of relationship violence. The Foundation was established to ensure everyone understand the difference between a healthy and an unhealthy relationship.
Registration for the race is available online, with all proceeds benefiting the One Love Foundation.
Check-in for the race will begin at 8 a.m., with the race slated to begin at 9 a.m. The Lancers will face off against the Colonels starting at 1 p.m.
