WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester State University 2019 women's soccer schedule was officially announced on Friday morning.
The 17-match slate features nine games on the newly renovated John F. Coughlin Field, with eight matches scheduled on the road. Worcester State will open its season just four weeks from Friday with an August 30 road trip to Wheaton College to take on the Lyons.
The Lancers will open up their home slate with a contest against their cross-town rivals from WPI on Tuesday, September 3. Other non-conference opponents slated to visit Coughlin Field in 2019 include Clark, Keene State, Western Connecticut State, and UMass Dartmouth.
The reigning MASCAC regular season champions will begin their seven-game conference schedule when Mass. Maritime comes to Worcester on Saturday, September 21. The Lancers have been nearly unbeatable in MASCAC regular season action in recent years, with a combined record of 31-1-3 in conference contests since 2014.
Worcester State will wrap up its regular season on Saturday, November 2, when the Lancers host Bridgewater State. Prior to the 12 p.m. kickoff, the Lancers will honor its senior class in its annual Senior Day festivities.
The MASCAC Tournament will begin with the quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 5, followed by the semifinals on November 8 and the championship on November 10.
