How it Happened:
In a crosstown showdown under the lights, the Worcester State women's soccer team battled hard against Clark University, creating consistent scoring chances and applying pressure throughout, but ultimately fell 3–0.
Clark jumped out early with three quick goals in the opening 15 minutes, putting Worcester on the defensive. The Lancers responded with poise, settling into the match and turning the momentum toward their attack. Worcester generated seven first-half shots, four of which were on target, but the Cougars' keeper came up with timely saves to keep the Lancers off the board at the break.
The second half saw Worcester continue to push forward. Senior Ella Tatarczuk (Bedford, MA) orchestrated several dangerous buildups in the midfield, while junior Ava Lemanski (Clinton, MA) created quality opportunities on the left wing. In the final minutes, Lemanski nearly broke through with a long shot across the box, and Worcester continued to press with renewed energy until the final whistle, forcing Clark to scramble defensively to preserve its lead.
