WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University women’s track & field team has been recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their academic accomplishments for the 2015-16 season, earning All-Academic Team Honors with an overall team GPA of a 3.34.
WORCESTER, Mass. – After being named Worcester State University’s Margaret “Peg” Nugent Scholar Athlete Award at the Lancers’ annual senior awards banquet, senior indoor and outdoor track & field captain, Francesca Casasanta (Milford, Mass.), has been recognized as an NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – 29 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2016 Winter Sportsmanship Team.
STATEN ISLAND, NY – Worcester State University sent three women student-athletes to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships which took place at Ocean Breeze Athletic Center from Mar. 4-5.
MIDDLEBURY, VT- The Worcester State women’s indoor track & field traveled to Middlebury for the Division III New England Championships on Sunday, registering an overall finish of 25th, ahead of MASCAC foe, Fitchburg State.
PLYMOUTH, N.H. –The women’s indoor track & field team took a third place finish in the MASCAC Championship, and ninth in the Alliance Championship which included teams from the Little East Conference (LEC).
WORCESTER, Mass. – Four Worcester State student-athletes from a variety of winter sports earned Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) awards for the week of Feb. 1-7.
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Senior indoor track & field student-athletes, Francesca Casasanta (Milford, Mass.) and Dalena Le (Worcester, Mass.), both qualified for Division III New England Championships this past weekend at the Wesleyan Invitational.
MEDFORD, Mass. – The Worcester State University women’s indoor track & field team placed sixth at the Tufts Stampede as the team’s 4x800 Meter Relay time qualified them for Division III New England’s. Also, junior Elizabeth McCormack’s (Gloucester, Mass.) performance in the weight throw landed her a spot on the Division III New England’s qualifications list.
WORCESTER, Mass. – Four Worcester State student-athletes from the women’s basketball and men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams earned Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) awards for the week of Jan. 18-24
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Worcester State University women’s indoor track & field team placed fifth in the Springfield College Maroon & White Classic on Saturday, as the team qualified for Division III New England’s in the 4x800 Meter Relay and senior Molly Downing (Dedham, Mass.) qualified for both Division III New England’s and ECACs in the weight throw.
MEDFORD, Mass. – Worcester State University’s Hanna Carson (Natick, Mass.) and Molly Downing (Dedham, Mass.) both qualified for NCAA Division III New England’s at the Tufts Invitational #1 in the shot put and weight throw, respectively.
ROXBURY, Mass. – Senior Molly Downing (Dedham, Mass.) and junior Elizabeth McCormack (Gloucester, Mass.) both qualified for NCAA Division III’s this past weekend at the Tiger’s All Comers Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center.
BOSTON, Mass. – The women’s indoor track & field team opened up their 2015-16 season on Saturday (Dec. 5) at the UMass Boston Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center.
