Worcester, MA --- Junior Christy Deininger and sophomore Alyssa Jasper have both been named to the Capital One Academic District I Team by the College Sports Information Directors of American (Co-SIDA). Both student-athletes will move on to the national ballot for academic All-American consideration.
La Crosse, WI --- Senior Briana Wise and sophomore Alyssa Jasper both competed on the last day of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Worcester, MA --- She was the 22nd and final qualifier for the javelin event at the NCAA Div. 3 Track & Field Championships last spring. One year later, Worcester State University sophomore Alyssa Jasper of Rockland finds herself among the top seeds in the national meet at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
La Crosse, WI --- Junior Christy Deinigner and senior Briana Wise both competed at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships this evening. Deininger clocked 14th for a new program standard in the 100 meter hurdles while Wise was 16th in the 100 meters.
Worcester, MA --- He had an unforgettable debut at the NCAA Div. 3 Track & Field Championships during the indoor season in March. Worcester State University sophomore Terrence Gibson of Rockland, seeded fifth in the field, became a national champion when he won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.04 seconds.
La Crosse, WI --- Senior Briana Wise qualified for the finals of the 200 meters with eighth place in the preliminary round at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships this evening hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Indianapolis, IN --- Highlighted by senior Briana Wise, five Worcester State female student-athletes will be representing the institution at this week's NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships hosted by Wisconsin-Lacrosse.
Springfield, MA --- Sophomore Alyssa Jasper won the javelin and placed fourth in the heptathlon as she helped lead the Worcester State women's outdoor track and field team to seventh place at the ECAC Division III Championships on Friday afternoon.
Easton, MA --- Junior Christy Deininger placed fourth for All-New England honors in the 100 meter hurdles (14.55) for a new school record as she helped the Worcester State women's outdoor track team to a 15th place at the Open New England Championships this afternoon hosted by Stonehill.
Easton, MA --- Sophomore Alyssa Jasper was the runner-up in the javelin with a toss of 142-4 feet (43.39 meters) as she helped the Worcester State women’s track and field team tie for 10th on the second day of the Open New England Championships hosted by Stonehill.
Waterville, ME ---Sophomore Alyssa Jasper finished as the runner-up in the heptathlon and senior Briana Wise chipped in with a pair of All-New England performances as both helped lead the Worcester State women's outdoor track and field team to fifth overall at the Division III New England Outdoor Championships hosted by Colby.
