Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Track and Field team travelled to Fitchburg State today to compete in the 2023 MASCAC Outdoor Championship. The Lancers finished 5 at the Championship with top finishes by senior Riley Sanderson (Leominster, MA), who earned MASCAC All-Conference honors with her first place finish in the Javelin, the dominant relay teams, headline by the 4x100 relay team made up of seniors Maureen Grady (Douglas, MA), Heather Turner (Ashland, MA), Elena Pellegrini 9Ashland, MA) and Bridget Maunsell (West Boylston, MA). While Track and Field does not hold the typical senior day events, the team is filled with spectacular senior talent that was on display today in Fitchburg.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Track and Field was back in action today at the Sunshine Classic at Tufts University in a last touch up meet before the MASCAC Championship next week in Fitchburg. The 4x100 relay team continued their success led senior Maureen Grady (Douglas, MA), senior Bridget Maunsell (West Boylston, MA), senior Heather Turner (Ashland, MA) and senior Elena Pellegrini (Ashland, MA) as did fellow senior Riley Sanderson (Leominster, MA) in the Javelin.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Women’s Track and Field team had another successful meet today at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Classic Track Meet. Their relay success continued to lead the way, led by senior Maureen Grady (Douglas, MA), senior Bridget Maunsell (West Boylston, MA), senior Heather Turner (Ashland, MA) and senior Elena Pellegrini (Ashland, MA) on the track while senior Avonia Hebert (Sharon, MA) and junior Eryca Lopes (Ayer, MA) took charge in the field events as Worcester State placed third with 79 points at today’s meet.
Worcester, MA- The Women’s Outdoor Track and Field team finished strong in their second meet of the outdoor season when they traveled to UMass-Dartmouth to compete in the Corsairs Classic. Sticking with the successful trend from last meet and the indoor season, the 4x100 team led by seniors Maureen Grady (Douglas, MA), Heather Turner (Ashland, MA), Elena Pellegrini (Ashland, MA) and Bridget Maunsell (West Boylston, MA) and junior Eryca Lopes (Ayer, MA) had another successful finish on the day. This finish was highlighted by the number of top finishes both on the track and in the field that the women recorded on the day.

Senior Avonia Hebert (Sharon, MA), and the Women’s 4X100m Relay team led by senior Maureen Grady (Douglas, MA), senior Heather Turner (Ashland, MA), senior Elena Pellegrini (Ashland, MA) and senior Bridget Maunsell (West Boylston, MA), led the action tor the Lancers in their first meet of the 2023 outdoor season.
