"We're excited to have some more competitive meets on the schedule this year. This is a group that has certainly earned those opportunities” says Vandermolen. “The fall has been fun seeing our new coaching staff in action and the athletes fit and working hard. Obviously, no awards are given out in October but I look forward to seeing what this team can do at the conference championship in February."
Worcester will open its season with a single 2025 meet at Suffolk for the Early Bird Invite on December 6th. The Lancers won’t be away from Suffolk for long, as they’ll begin the remainder of the 2026 season with the Rams at the Suffolk Relays on January 18th, before heading to Springfield College the following Saturday, January 24th.
Worcester will have two more tune-up meets, the Reggie Lewis Open on January 31st and the Coast Guard Invitational on February 6th, before competing at the MASCAC Championships. This year’s Championships will be held on February 15th at Wheaton College, where the Lancers will return the following weekend for a February 21st matchup with the Lyons.
As the championship season deepens, Worcester will look to send competitors to the New England DIII Championships at New Balance on Sunday, March 1st, and the NEICAAA Championships on Saturday, March 7th, for final opportunities to hit NCAA qualifying marks ahead of the National Championships the following weekend.
