Worcester State Volleyball Claims Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Volleyball team was selected fifth in the MASCAC Preseason Coaches Poll selected by the conference coaches. The Lancers finished last season 9-19, falling to Westfield State in the MASCAC Semifinals. This season they look to reclaim the top spot in the MASCAC.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Volleyball team was selected fifth in the MASCAC Preseason Coaches Poll selected by the conference coaches. The Lancers finished last season 9-19, falling to Westfield State in the MASCAC Semifinals. This season they look to reclaim the top spot in the MASCAC.
Westfield leads the conference with 61 points and five first place votes, just a point ahead of Bridgewater State with 60 points and four first place votes. Framingham and MCLA battle it out for third and fourth with the Rams claiming 47 points to the Trailblazers 43.
Worcester sits in fifth with 38 points, were last season they finished 4-3 in league play. In her first year with the team, Katherine Crateau registered 461 digs, 4.56 digs per set, 42 service aces and 86 assists from the libero spot to earn All-Conference honors.
Sixth place finds Mass Maritime with 25 points just two ahead of Fitchburg State with 23 points. In the final two spots sits Salem State with 18 points and Anna maria at nine points.
