Worcester State Cross Country Announces 2025 Schedule
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s and Women’s Cross Country team, led by Head Coach Scott VanderMolen, who enters his third season at the helm of the Worcester State Cross Country and Track and Field programs. The Lancers took home 5th in the Men’s MASCAC Championship and 4th in the Women, last season and look to continue their climb up the conference standing this year. Worcester will be led by seniors Alex Matasuyasu, Andrew Stokes, Leah Berg, Kelsey Gendreau, Jillian McMenemy, Claudia Symonick and Bridget O’Malley alongside fresh and returning speed on the course in the Lancers hunt for a MASCAC Championship.

"We're really looking forward to watching the team take shape throughout the season this fall. We'll have opportunities to test our fitness early then build momentum into some exciting meets against top level competition" says VanderMolen. "We're excited to get started with our strong group of returners and exciting first year Lancers."
The Cross Country squad will begin their season on August 30th with a trip to Keene State. The Lancers will then remain on the trail for their next meet on September 20th with a journey to UMass-Dartmouth and a trip to Hampshire College on the 27th.
October begins the shift to postseason focus for Worcester as they compete at Westfield State on October 11th before their final regular season test meet on the 18th at Western New England. November will kick off the championship season as the Blue and Gold journey to the MASCAC Championship on the first before competing at the NCAA East Regionals on November 15th with hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Championships on November 22nd.
