Riley was born in Gardner, Mass...is majoring in occupational studies at Worcester State...the daughter of Louise and Sean Grimley...has three younger brothers, Austin, Tanner, and Brodie...aunt Leanne Roy played field hockey at Fitchburg State University, and won MASCAC Rookie of the Year and All-Conference...chose Worcester State for the opportunity to play field hockey and its proximity to home

Riley is a 2020 graduate of Oakmont Regional High School in Ashburnham, Mass...competed in three years of varsity field hockey and two years of varsity track & field and unified track & field for the Spartans...won two district championships and appeared in the state finals twice...captained her team as a senior and was named her team's Most Valuable Player...selected a league All-Star in her senior season
