Men's Cross Country Claims Seventh at Western New England Invitational

Worcester, MA- In their final meet before the MASCAC Championship in two weeks, the Worcester State Men's Cross Country team faced off on one last meet with a trip to Western New England for their invitational.
The Worcester State men's cross country team turned in another solid performance this weekend, placing seventh overall with 221 points at the Western New England Golden Bear Invitational.
Leading the way for the Lancers was first year Ryan Wing(Barre, MA), who continued his strong fall campaign by finishing 37th overall with a time of 27:48.50. Liam Dietz was next across the line for Worcester, clocking 28:31.45 for a 50th-place finish, while junior Kelan Mahoney (Oakham, MA) followed close behind in 67th at 29:15.72.
Rounding out the Lancers' scoring five were sophomore Daniel Smith (Medway, MA) in 77th with a time of 29:52.73 and graduate student Alexander Lucier(Gardner, MA) in 79th at 29:53.15, both contributing key points to Worcester State's team total.
Also competing for the Blue and Gold were first year Andrew Feinblatt (Framingham, MA) crossed in 83rd at a brisk 29:56.53, first year Youness Chahid (Revere, MA) in 99th at a time of 30:34.13, senior Andrew Stokes in 125th crossing in 31:52.76, junior Patrick Harvey (Holden, MA)placed 130th on a time of 32:18.33, senior Alex Matsuyasu (Newton, MA) crossed the line at 137th with a time of 32:29.04, and first year Dan Ryan (Framingham, MA) closed it out in 154th with a time of 33:29.58.
Worcester State wraps up their conference season in two weeks when they head back out west for the MASCAC Championship hosted by Westfield State on November 1st.
