WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University field hockey team has been commended by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for their academic achievements during the fall 2017 semester.
Worcester State University junior forward Michaila Parent (Westborough, Mass.) and senior back Hayley Sutherland (Tewksbury, Mass.) were named the 2017 Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, respectively, while Lancers' head coach Alexa Carlson was named Coach of the Year.
