WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University Athletic Department has placed 84 student-athletes on the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) winter 2018 All-Academic team, as announced by the league Wednesday (Mar. 28) afternoon.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – 29 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2018 Winter Sportsmanship Team.
WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University’s junior Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Field Athlete of the Week for earning his first-ever All-American status on Friday (Mar. 9) in the weight throw.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Worcester State University’s sophomore Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) earned All-American honors in the high jump as he finished 5th with a height of 2.06m (6’ 9”) Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division III National Championship.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Worcester State University’s junior thrower Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) has earned All-American honors as he finished seventh place in the weight throw at the NCAA Division III Championships Friday afternoon.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Worcester State University’s sophomore Justin Lewis (Lynn, Mass.) was named the Division III New England high jump champion on Saturday as he earned the top spot with a height of 2.07m/6-09.50, leading the team to an 11th place finish of 28+ schools in attendance at the Division III New England Championship. Both Marcus Vieira (Peabody, Mass.) and John Ojukwu (Stow, Mass.) also earned All-New England honors.

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University men’s indoor track & field student-athlete, John Ojukwu (Stow, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men’s indoor track & field rookie of the week, as announced by the league Monday (Feb. 12) afternoon.
The Worcester State Men’s Track and Field team posted a 3rd place finish at the 2018 MASCAC Indoor Track and Field Championships held by host Rhode Island College. The men finished in 5th in the Alliance scoring of the event.
