Worcester State Softball Headlines
The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – 37 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been honored for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2026 Spring Sportsmanship Teams.
Worcester, MA- After solidifying their return trip to the MASCAC on Friday, the Worcester State Softball team (25-15, 13-3) headed back to Westfield State for the MASCAC Championship. With one loss already on their docket Worcester would look to claim game one on the day to extend the series to two games to repeat at MASCAC Champions.

Worcester, MA- After a strong back end finish to the season, and dominant play in conference, the Worcester State softball team (23-14, 13-3) have a flip of script form last year as they claimed the second seed and hosted the #5 seeded Bridgewater State Bears in the first of the double elimination games.
Westfield, Mass. — Westfield State’s Sarah Hough and Angelina Vartuli have been named the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year and head up the all-conference squad which is voted on by the coaches from around the conference.
Worcester, MA- With the final weekend of conference play in action, the Worcester State softball team (21-14, 11-3) headed to MCLA. A sweep on the day would guarantee a two seed for Worcester in the post season tournament.

Worcester, MA- In the final non conference road trip of the regular season the Worcester State Softball team (20-13, 11-3) headed west to take on the Mammoths of Amherst College in a double header set.
Worcester, MA- After a 5-0 week for the Lancers, junior Peyton Maloney (West Boylston, MA) was named the MASCAC Pitcher of the Week.
Worcester, MA- After claiming a big win over Lasell earlier in the week the Worcester State Softball team (18-13, 9-3) turned their focus back to conference play as they hosted Anna Maria College in a double header in their second to last conference series of the regular season. Today’s games were played in conjunction with the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund. The Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer-to-peer education regarding early cancer detection. The importance of Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students, has never been more important and can effectively expedite important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late-stage cancer detection and increase longevity. Donations are currently being accepted at alumni.worcester.edu.
Worcester, MA- After a strong showing last week the Worcester State Softball (17-13, 9-3) hosted Lasell College in a single game meeting for a Wednesday night showdown between the two squads.

Worcester, MA- After a weekend off of action the Worcester State Softball team (15-13, 7-3) stepped back onto the diamond for a Patriots Day afternoon showdown with the Bridgewater State Bears. As the season tips towards the final conference games, today’s game held crucial final seeding potential for the two teams.
