Worcester State Baseball Headlines
WESTFIELD, Mass. – 37 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) student-athletes have been honored for their outstanding sportsmanship as members of the 2026 Spring Sportsmanship Teams.
Worcester, MA- With a win yesterday over the Westfield State Owls to sweep the season, the Lancers Baseball team (20-19,16-8) faced a rematch on the road to the championship game in a meeting with the Salem State Vikings. The Vikings claimed the win over Worcester in the Quarterfinals 20-10 to hand Worcester their first loss in post season play. The Lancers returned the favor with a decisive final to advance to the MASCAC Championship versus Bridgewater State, who were yet to have a loss in the tournament.
Worcester, MA- After advancing through the opening round over Mass. Maritime and falling in a slugfest versus Salem State in game two of the day, the Lancers baseball team (19-19, 16-8) headed to Bridgewater State to take on the Westfield Owls in a winner advance game.
Worcester, MA- After sealing the third seed this past weekend, the Worcester State Baseball team (18-18, 16-8) travelled to second seeded Salem State for the opening day of the MASCAC tournament. The Lancers opened up the tournament versus #6 seeded Mass. Maritime in a winner advance game and closed out the day advancing to the double elimination round and a game against the second seeded Salem State, who ended the Lancers season last year in the play-in round.
Westfield, Mass. — Nate Kaczynski of Mass. Maritime and Nolan Currier of Salem State have been named the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Year and headline the 2026 MASCAC All Conference team as voted by the coaches from around the league.
Worcester, MA- with the final two conference games docked for the day, the Worcester State Baseball team (16-18, 14-8) entered the game knowing what was needed for their fate, sweep and enter the postseason as the three seed.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Baseball (15-18, 13-8) wrapped up their home regular season schedule this afternoon as they hosted MCLA in a nine-inning battle with post season seeding potentially on the line. Today’s game was also played in honor of the 2026 senior class of Zach Scotti (Warwick, RI), Nolan Turner (Barnstable, MA), Mason Bates (Shrewsbury, MA), Steven Thomas (Worcester, MA), Nathan Thurber (Framingham, MA), Joe Auger (Lowell, MA) and Jack Pawlich (Rocky Hill, CT).
Worcester, MA- The Lancers Baseball team (15-17, 13-8) hit the road for their second to last non conference road trip of the regular season as they journeyed to Keene State to face the Owls this afternoon in a nine-inning battle. As the season comes to a close two Lancers are actively on their hunt for their 100th career hits as senior Nathan Thurber (Framingham, MA) and junior Ryan Jewett (Natick, MA) looked for some added fuel to close out the season.
Worcester, MA- Coming off a battle this past weekend with Anna Maria, the Worcester State Baseball team (14-16, 12-7) returned to Kevin D. Lyons Diamond to close out the series with the Bridgewater State Bears. The Bears took the single game back on April 20th as the Lancers looked to claim the series this afternoon.
Worcester, MA- After a late surge fell short yesterday versus the AMCATs, the Lancers Baseball team (13-15, 11-6) was back in action on Saturday as they looked to come away claiming the series.
Worcester, MA- After a few days away from the diamond game action the Worcester State Baseball team (13-14, 11-5) jumped back into conference action this afternoon as they faced off against the Anna Maria AMCATs in their single game set of the series at Marlborough High School.
Worcester, MA- In a slightly pushed back start in a Patriots game day showdown, the Worcester State Baseball team (13-12, 7-3) journeyed to Bridgewater for a single game conference meeting in a pivotal start to a post season determining conference series.
Worcester, MA- After a back and forth slug fest yesterday versus the Nichols College Bison, the Worcester State Baseball team (12-13, 10-4) returned to conference action as they closed out their series with Fitchburg State. Worcester won the previous two meetings versus the Falcons with 11-5 and 2-1 victories.
Worcester, MA- After splitting the day Saturday with Mass. Maritime, the Worcester State Baseball team (12-12, 10-4) stepped out of conference for game action today as they faced off against the Nichols College Bison in a single game meeting.
