On a typical Saturday in September, the Worcester State University women’s soccer team is out on the field scoring goals and seeking a victory. However, this past Saturday (Sep. 17) the women’s soccer team’s schedule allowed for them to spend their day volunteering at Haverhill’s 36th Annual Special Field Games.
Over the summer months Worcester State University’s junior field hockey player Jolane Thibualt (Douglas, Mass.) was doing more than winding down from the school year and practicing for the upcoming fall athletic season. This summer Thibault, a Public Health/Pre-Nursing major, embarked on a mission called “Project Safety”, with the goal of promoting good hygiene and health for underprivileged children. For the project, Thibault put together first aid kits and sent them across the world to Malawi, Africa.
WORCESTER, Mass. – Three Worcester State University athletic teams paired up with the Elm Park Ministries Camp during the week of Aug. 8-12 to teach their respective sports to the Worcester youth.
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University Athlete Mentor Program (AMP) wrapped up the 2015-16 school year with a pen pal meet-and-greet field day at the May Street School last week.
WORCESTER, Mass. – On Friday (Apr. 22), the Worcester State University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) invited the Worcester State Boys & Girls Club on campus for a spring field day, as the children were bussed over (compliments of the Worcester State University President’s Office) to have some fun in the sun and form relationships with the Worcester State student-athletes.
WORCESTER, Mass. – This past week the Worcester State University women’s lacrosse team hosted the Worcester City Team in their 4th Annual Clinic on campus at John F. Coughlin Memorial Field.
