WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Rivier’s Chloe Bryda and Worcester State’s Kelsey Czerniawski earn the MASCAC Women’s Ice Hockey Player and Defensive Player of the Year and headline the 2025-26 All-Conference team as voted on by the coaches from around the conference prior to the tournament.
Worcester, MA- After claiming their first MASCAC Championship, and fourth Championship in the last five season, the Worcester State Women's Ice Hockey team had two selected as MASCAC players of the week. Senior Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicopee, MA) and junior Madelyn Franta (Superior, WI) took home the honors in Goalie and Player of the Week.
Worcester, MA- For the fourth time in five seasons, and the first under the new conference creation, the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team (17-9, 10-2) headed to the conference championship and against a familiar foe in the Rivier Raiders (17-9, 9-4). The Lancers claimed the three of the last four Championships between the ECHA and MASCAC conferences while the Raiders have been the final opponent for Worcester the last three years. Rivier claimed the 1-0 win in the MASCAC semifinals last year to advance past Worcester State to the first ever MASCAC Championship, and now return for the third year in a row to the conference championship.
Worcester, MA- In the second season of the MASCAC Women’s Ice Hockey Championship, the #1 Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team (16-9, 10-2) was again hosting a MASCAC semifinal game at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center. Last season the Lancers fell to Rivier, who had previously defeated Framingham State in their quarterfinal meeting. This year the #5 Rams (5-20-1, 1-11) would advance to their first conference semifinals after upsetting the #4 seeded Anna Maria Wednesday night in a decisive 6-2 victory.
Worcester, MA- After going 2-0 on the week and claiming the MASCAC Regular Season Title the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey claimed two weekly honors with senior Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicopee, MA) seventh Goalie of the Week and sophomore Emily Johns (Clinton, MA) taking home Player of the Week.
Worcester, MA- After locking up the MASCAC regular season title and the one seed in the post season tournament after a 1-0 victory in the road last night versus Salem State, the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team (15-9, 9-2) returned to the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center for their senior day meeting with the Raiders. In their final game of the regular season the Lancers honored seniors Cailey Ryan (Acton, MA), Lea Gaspar (Chelmsford, MA), Olivia Fehl (Sergeant Bluff, IA) and Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicopee, MA) prior to the puck drop.
Worcester, MA- With the final two games of the regular season upon the season, the Worcester State Lancers Women’s Ice Hockey (14-9, 8-2) is aimed to tie a bow on their first seed into playoffs in the night's meeting with Salem State. The Blue and Gold, coming into the weekend, just needed two points to grab possession of the top spot in the tournament. The Vikings and Lancers travelled into the game each holding a win on the other in the first a crucial weekend for Worcester.
Worcester, MA- After a 1-1 week that had Worcester claiming the top spot in the conference as the team begins to head into the post season, senior Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicopee, MA) took home her sixth MASCAC Goalie of the Week selection.
Worcester, MA- Looking to lock up the top seed in the MASCAC post season tournament, the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team (13-8, 1-01) hosted the Anna Maria AMCATs at the DCU Center. The game was played in conjunction with the Women in Sports game day hosted by the Worcester Railers. The Lancers kicked off the game day on the rink that would be followed up by the Railers hosting Trois-Riviers.
Worcester, MA- After taking a commanding lead and control in the MASCAC top seed race this week, going 2-0 in the conference action, the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team has also had senior Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicopee, MA) named the MASCAC goalie of the week for the fifth time this season and sophomore Leyla Tiernan (Anchorage, AK) named as the MASCAC Player of the Week.
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lancers were looking for revenge in tonight’s Women’s Ice Hockey (9-8, 6-1) meeting with the Salem State Vikings. The Vikings had handed Worcester their only conference loss of the season thus far on November 22nd in a 3-0 defeat. Worcester was determined to not seed any ground to Salem State in their second attempt.
Worcester, MA- Coming off a thrilling 2-1 victory over Utica last Wednesday, the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team (7-8, 4-1) was back in conference fighting shape to take on the Trailblazers of MCLA. Head Coach Eliza Kelley is on the hunt for her career 100th NCAA Head coaching win, having claimed her collegiate 100th win, which include both NCAA and wins over club programs, back on January 2nd. With the victory at Utica, Kelley moved to just two wins away from the honor.

After the Lancers win yesterday over Potsdam, head coach Eliza Kelley has recorded 100 career coaching win, and begins the hunt for 100th career NCAA head coaching win, where she currently sits at 97.
Worcester, MA- In a new year return to action the Worcester State Women’s Ice Hockey team (5-5, 4-1) journey north to Castleton State to take on the SUNY Potsdam Bears in the first round of the Bagley Invitational.
Worcester, MA- After taking on the current #3 teams in Women’s Division III Ice Hockey on Sunday, the Lancers (5-4, 4-1) continue their NESCAC meetings with a hosting of Connecticut College on Friday evening. Connecticut College is currently receiving votes for a top 25 placement in the Ice Hockey coaches poll, making it two tight, high intensity back to back meetings for the Lancers to close out 2025.
